Better Than Drugs RP

Kat nodded meekly, silently confessing.
"Yeah," she said, smiling sheepishly. "I can't help it. She's so damn cute."
She took one of the sleeping girl's hands in her own, lightly stroking the back of it, before turning to look at Jennifer.
"And besides," she continued, smirking slightly, "I like a challenge."

"Yeah, I know you do. Just don't hurt her." Jennifer warned with a soft yawn into her hand, rubbing the back of her neck gently. "And don't let her hurt you. And don't molest her in her sleep." She teased. "She's a heavy sleeper, but you have to draw the line somewhere."

"I wasn't thinking of molesting her," Kat said, "but now that you mention it.."
She chuckled softly, trying not to wake Dakota, and threw a dirty look at Jennifer.
"Anyway, I'll take care of her," she said, "if I even pluck up the courage to ask her out. You know how much of a wimp I am.."

"She's gay." Jennifer leaned forward to pluck an apple from the fruitbowl on the coffee table. "So just ask her. Hey, if she mentioned dinner already, that's her subtle way of asking you out." She chuckled. Her dear aunt sure had given her a lot of directions on her cousin, that was one of them. Dakota's horrid and steathly way of sneaking a date.

"Looks like we're going out," Kat muttered, looking back down at the sleeping Dakota. "I just hope I don't stuff it up like I do every other time."
Through her troublesome anxiety disorder, Kat wasn't the most social person at first, though she felt very open with the girl sleeping across her lap. She gently ran her hand through the girl's soft hair, smiling idly to herself.

Dakota shifted with a soft yawn, blinking her eyes open to meet Kat's warm brown eyes. She smiled gently, looking happily content. "Hi," She raised a hand, brushing her fingertips across the girl's cheek.
Jennifer rolled her eyes with a chuckle. "Oh yeah, your going out."

Kat smiled, blushing slightly, though it subsided quickly as she gently touched Dakota's lips in return.
"Awesome," she said, chuckling softly.

Dakota grinned before tilting her head to gaze at Jennifer. "You've been talking about me, haven't you?" She softly accused.
Jennifer shrugged and stood, sashshaying towards the door. "Maybe!"

Kat smiled, chuckling softly.
"Maybe yes, maybe no," she said, leaning back across the sofa slightly, resting her back. "Have a good nap, love?"
'Love'? The words felt foreign on her tongue, but not necessarily in a bad way. After all, that's how she felt about Dakota.

Dakota tilted her head, shutting her eyes as she smiled. "Mhm. Your surprisingly comfortable." She teased good-naturedly. The word love made her smile, made her feel special and have a warmth grow in her gut.

"Just don't dream about eating a giant marshmallow," Kat said, smirking slightly. "We know how that'll turn out."
She moved her hand to gently caress Dakota's cheek, her thumb moving back and forth across the soft skin.
Well, we're in a good position; warm, friendly, loving.. Why not go ahead and confess? she thought to herself, though her words seemed to get stuck in the back of her throat, and she went quiet, looking away meekly.

Dakota seemed to have the same idea, holding Kat's gaze steadily. "I, um-" She swallowed thickly, wondering where her usual boldness had went and hidden. Well, it looked like she needed to get it out for both of them to relax. "I...Really like you Kat." She smiled softly, hoping it got a nice reception.
If it didn't, she'd feel very dejected and would sulk for weeks, if not months.

Kat smiled weakly, her anxiety fading gradually.
"I really like you too," she murmured, "since I saw you, really."
Normally, if she even attempted to confess these sort of feelings to someone, she'd probably end up running in fear. However, being with Dakota felt natural, open, so she felt as if she could say anything.
"I hope I'm not being too forward, but.." she continued, "what time should we go out tonight..?"

Dakota sat up with a chuckle, shifting to sit properly beside Kat. "Mmm," She hummed, thinking of proper time. "Well, it depends on how much time we want to spend together." She winked. "I want a lot." She admitted truthfully.

"So do I," Kat agreed, smiling sheepishly. She gently took one of Dakota's hands in her own, and raised it to her lips, kissing her palm gently, her eyes closed, face blank of expression.

Dakota blushed lightly, watching. "Kat?" She whispered in surprise.

Kat didn't answer; she simply continued to kiss from Dakota's palm up her arm to her shoulder, breathing huskily against her neck.
"May I bother you," she murmured softly against the girl's ear, "for.. a kiss? I mean, I suppose I have to thank you for letting me sleep in the car, and getting us both here safely.."

Dakota felt her cheeks heat up, but smiled all the same. "Y-Yeah." She agreed breathlessly before their lips were tenderly connected. It felt like a spark had shot through her veins, giving her the ultimate high.

Kat closed her eyes, leaning into the kiss, wrapping an arm loosely around Dakota's waist for support. She could've sworn she saw fireworks when their lips first connected. After about a minute or two, she finally pulled back, taking a great gulp of air, a broad smile across her face.
"Wow.." was all she could say as she gazed at Dakota, smiling weakly.

Dakota panted softly, attempting to regain her breath. "Woah," She agreed breathlessly. That was very nice. She smiled and carressed Kat's cheek gently.

Kat chuckled softly, closing her eyes at Dakota's touch upon her cheek.
"Y'know," she murmured, "I think 'like' is an understatement of how I feel towards you."
She couldn't help but admit it; it was the naked truth, after all. 'Love at first sight', as they call it. That's how Kat felt when she first saw Dakota at the airport.

"You love me...?" Dakota questioned softly in slight awe. She'd heard people say it before, but it had either not been meant, or it had been fleeting. When Kat said it, there was truth there, a raw honesty that left her breathless. "I...I love you too, Kat."

Kat nodded slowly, confessing it to both Dakota and herself. She wasn't sure of herself at first with these sort of things, but being there with Dakota helped her.
"I know it's.. sudden," she murmured, "but.. it's true."
She raised a hand to gently brush her fingertips across the girl's cheek, smiling faintly.

Dakota gently leaned into the touch with a smile. "I know it's true." She nodded gently, before leaning closer so their lips could again connect tenderly.

Kat smiled as their lips were connected, and wrapped her arms loosely around Dakota's waist, pulling her closer. Though she had no idea how to explain it, a unique and strong trust had already been built between her and the girl, however quick it may have formed.
She then leaned back against the sofa, pulling Dakota on top of her gently, running a hand through her soft hair as she continued to tenderly kiss her.
